Standard consignors who do not volunteer keep 65% of their sales and shop during regular participant shopping on Tuesday evening.
Important Volunteer Policies
- Children are not permitted during volunteer shifts. If childcare issues arise, please text Kara immediately at 985-966-3448 to reschedule.
- Volunteers who use their early-shopping benefits but do not fulfill their committed hours will not be eligible to volunteer at future Reruns sales.
- Drinks, snacks, and meals are provided for volunteers only.
- Yellow Reruns shirts are encouraged but not required. New shirts will be available if needed.
Important Requirement for 20-Hour Volunteers
At least 4 of your 20 volunteer hours must be completed during sorting shifts after the sale. Sorting is when we are most understaffed, and your help during this time is especially valuable.
Volunteer Schedule Overview
Setup Days
September 10 and 11 — Shifts available by request
Help unload trucks, build racks, prepare the space, and set up the sales floor. Please note that these shifts involve heavy lifting.
Drop-Off Days
September 12 and 13 — Shifts available from 8:30 AM–10:00 PM
September 14 — Shifts available from 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
Help unload vehicles, inspect items for quality, function, stains, and damage, and organize merchandise throughout the sales floor.
Floor Reset & Participant Shopping
September 15 — Shifts available from 4:30–10:00 PM
Volunteers shop throughout the morning, and regular participant shopping begins at 5:00 PM. We need lots of help resetting and maintaining the sales floor during this busy day!
Public Sale Days
Shifts available from 8:45 AM–9:00 PM
Help bag purchases, remove tags, assist customers, restock and straighten racks and shelves, and keep the sales floor organized.
We especially need help on Wednesday, September 16 and Sunday, September 20.
Sorting Days
Shifts available from 7:30 AM–10:00 PM
Help organize unsold merchandise into baskets by participant code and prepare everything for pickup.
Remember: 20-hour volunteers must complete at least 4 hours during sorting days.
Scheduling Your Volunteer Hours
Please provide the following information when requesting your shifts:
- The volunteer tier and total number of hours you are committing to
- The days you are available
- The time ranges you would like to work
You will receive confirmation of your finalized volunteer schedule.
If anything changes or you are unable to fulfill your committed hours, please contact Kara as soon as possible.
